They wont have alliances with me or anything, even though I am about 4x the size of their nation and much more powerful - its a massive benefit to them but they wont take it unless I pay them a shitload of gold with it, I can, but it makes no sense. Even with all that money, and trade-able resources - only one faction out of the ~ 12 I can see will trade with me. Army count 2/3rd's full with 2 full stacks of troops and a navy.
For example, I have the majority of the UK. I am 100% sure they will patch the diplomacy though - lots of complaints on the forums. Lot of rage on CA's forums so still not exactly sure how well the release was received.ĬAI is okay I guess - main things I have noticed is diplomacy is pretty broken on hard, even if you are rich and have resources to trade - nobody wants to trade and nearly all diplomatic situations require you to pay the AI in someway unless you are massively powerful, it just feels like its a arbitrary punishment for playing on hard, rather than any realistic development.
